I’m fascinated with the idea of provenance through ArtPro. They could add data to the blockchain based on digital analysis of an artwork, such as the results of measurements from various types of sensors (reflected light, IR (infrared) etc). This would make it easier to reassure a potential buyer that the artwork is bona fide, and to test the artwork in the future to be certain that it hasn’t been replaced by a fake. The provenance alone is helpful but may not be sufficient.
