Agree with you on the likelihood of future Ponzi schemes Michael K. Spencer but lack of regulatory clarity in the US is a big part of the problem. On the one hand, the SEC hasn’t released clear regulations for ICOs, let alone any other aspect of cryptocurrencies. On the other hand, a US federal judge ruled recently that tokens are in a regulatory category like stocks. So how is an investor supposed to figure out blockchain and cryptocurrencies, if the various regulatory and legal branches of government don’t have their story straight?
