Accepting blockchain-based evidence in a court of law would seem to open up many opportunities in China for companies storing titles to various types of property on blockchain. Since the court case relates to copyright, title to intangible property (IP rights) would appear to also be eligible. It will be interesting to see if SIPO (China’s government IP office, handling patents and trademarks) will accept assignments on blockchain now.
